Post: How to Worship in Spirit and Truth

What does it mean to worship in spirit and in truth found in John 4:24?

I share some of my experiences when I worship God, while thinking about myself and how I don’t measure up. It’s impossible to fully worship in that state because I am elevating my self and my imperfections over God’s truth.

When I worship in Spirit and in truth – it’s when I elevate God’s goodness over my imperfections.

How about you? Have you experienced anything like this? Please let me know and I’d love to hear your experiences!

  1. Hi Nina,
Worshipping in truth is so important. When we worship in spirit and in truth, those other thoughts tend to fall away. When I feel the most at ease is when I play keyboard. When I play something to Worship God. Usually something I come up with right then. Something from the soul. God made us all different and when we use the gifts that He has given us, to serve Him, there’s no feeling like it. There are so many ways to serve God. So many ways that it would be impossible to name them all.

    1. Ahhh this message is SO encouraging, especially those thinking of HOW them can serve Him. There truly is no number to the many ways to serve Him. I also tend to sing things that I come up with right there and then. It’s incredible.

  2. OMG I love the way u explain this. This was powerful and true. I have meet many musicians that have experience this including me.

  3. Thanks so much for this message of encouragement! Now I feel like I can move on with learning to worship through the piano keys, because I feel set fee from thinking on what I may sound like during the learning process!

    Blessings
